"A page by page review of common problems caregivers face when caring for patients with dementia."
I had the great privilege of treating Mamie Elizabeth Glover Miller who
suffered bravely for many years with Alzheimer's disease. Her daughter, Agnes M. Murner,
who was very closely involved with her mother's day-to-day care. Ms. Murner has published
a monograph entitled "Because I've Been There". This monograph is a page by page review of
common problems caregivers face when caring for patients with dementia.
I think this publication would be of great benefit to family members who are faced with this life challenge.

"You will be touched by her tenderness, love, patience..."
I hope that everyone that is caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease would read Because I've Been There.
The author compassionately shares the trials and tribulations that she went through while caring for her own mother
who had Alzheimer's disease. You will be touched by her tenderness, love, patience, and most of all her insight
of stepping into "their world" to reach those afflicted with this disease. She gives God the glory for helping her
through this and offers His strength and love to help others make it through.

"Agnes Murner has captured the essence of dealing with Alzheimer's disease..."
There is that special time in each person's life when we are faced with the necessity to
deal with overwhelming circumstances. When that time arrives, the tendency is to reach for
the wisdom of others who have already experienced this step in life. Agnes Murner has
captured the essence of dealing with Alzheimer's disease in Because I've Been There.
Her words give guidance for the unknown days ahead and instruction as those days arrive.
Written as a result of the love of a child caring for her Mother, Because I've Been There
will guide you, encourage you, and serve to lighten your burden.

We were recently presented with a copy of the book Because I've Been There by a staff
member of a facility with an Alzheimer's unit we are considering for our Mother/Mother-in-Law.
Even though we have done a lot of research and reading on the subject in the last two years,
we found your book so enlightening and helpful.

I sent a book to my mother who is the sole caregiver to my 93 year old grandmother.
Your book said a lot of words my mom meeded to hear. She needed to hear your words
so that she could adapt in order to maintain a relationship with our loved one. Your
book is having the intended effect on its readers.
